Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress. Her best-known role is Skyler White on Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 as well as 2014 for Outstanding supporting actress in an Drama Series. She also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. She was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with acting in the Preparatory School she attended before her family relocated to Ohio at the end of the 1970's. The theatre studies she pursued was through Northwestern University. A semester was spent in the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her journey in Chicago performing in stage parts for a number of years. Later, she relocated to Hollywood where she started acting in movies and television shows. Anna's debut role was Arden on Down the Shore. She played in 29 episodes. Anna continued to appear in movies and TV series such as Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and other shows until the end of 1990's. Then she was selected for The Practice as Jean Ward. She starred as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons in the late 2000s. Skyler was her role as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad. Sully and Deadwood were also part of her work. Gunn was also in the David Schwimmer directed film Sex With Strangers. The actress starred as the character Numbered Days in a four part audio podcast that will air in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered around the relationship between Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their conflicted relationship and final break-up echoes the final years in Walter White's story.
