Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised as the pioneer of modern research of eyewitness memory in children and using child victims to testify as legal witnesses. Prof. Goodman has published extensively she has received grants from numerous sources and been recognized with many international and national distinctions. She has worked with a variety of governments and organizations all over the world to conduct studies and policy issues pertaining to child victims of the legal system. She is an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of many professional organizations including the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychological Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the America Psychological Association's divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
